Saint Louis Secures A Top Gun: Josh Schertz to Lead the Billikens with Millions on the Line

Saint Louis is set to hire Josh Schertz as its next coach, according to sources. If the deal is finalized, Schertz is expected to receive a salary north of $2 million, making him one of the highest-paid coaches in the Atlantic 10 conference.

During his time at Indiana State, Schertz led the team to a 66-40 record and a regular season championship in the Missouri Valley. Despite missing out on an NCAA Tournament bid, the Sycamores had a successful season, finishing as runner-ups in the NIT championship game. Schertz’s coaching style and the team’s offensive play have drawn praise, making him a sought-after candidate for the head coaching position at Saint Louis.

After Travis Ford was fired by Saint Louis, Schertz emerged as the top choice for the job. His success at Indiana State, along with his coaching accolades from his time at Division II Lincoln Memorial University, has garnered attention and positioned him as a top contender for the position.

Schertz’s coaching record, awards, and recognition within the coaching community highlight his capabilities and potential to lead Saint Louis to success in the future. His experience at both Division I and Division II levels has prepared him well for this new challenge and he is eager to bring his unique style of play and leadership skills to Saint Louis.
