Wes Foderingham, a Scottish Championship winner with Rangers in 2015-16, has signed a two-year contract with West Ham. The goalkeeper will join the Hammers on July 1 after his contract at Sheffield United expires. Foderingham, who made 30 appearances for Sheffield United, is excited to join the club and cites its passionate fanbase as a key factor in his decision. Having previously played for Rangers, Swindon, Crystal Palace, and Fulham, Foderingham’s signing marks the second addition to West Ham under new manager Julen Lopetegui following the arrival of Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme.
West Ham’s technical director Tim Steidten is pleased with Foderingham’s addition to the team. He highlights the goalkeeper’s experience at the highest level in the Premier League and believes he will be a valuable asset to the first team goalkeeping unit. With goalkeeping coach Xavi Valero guiding him, Steidten is confident that Foderingham will enhance West Ham’s goalkeeping squad.
