Sevilla Brings on New Coach for Upcoming Season: Francisco Garcia Pimienta to Replace Quique Sanchez Flores

Sevilla appoint Garcia Pimienta as head coach for upcoming season

Sevilla has appointed Francisco Garcia Pimienta as their coach for the upcoming season, replacing Quique Sanchez Flores who decided to leave the Andalucian side. The former Las Palmas and Barcelona reserves coach, 49, will take over the reins at the club for the 2024/25 season, with the option of extending for another year.

Sevilla had a tough season last time around, finishing 14th in the league standings. Quique Sanchez Flores was brought in as the third coach of the campaign after Jose Luis Mendilibar and Diego Alonso were let go, and he managed to help the team avoid relegation. This time around, they are hoping to do even better under Garcia Pimienta’s leadership.

Garcia Pimienta’s previous team, Las Palmas, finished 16th in the league. Despite starting the season strong, they couldn’t secure a win in their last 14 matches, leading to the coach’s departure at the end of the campaign. Sevilla will be hoping Garcia Pimienta can bring success and stability to their team in the upcoming season. With his experience as a coach and his knowledge of Spanish football, he is expected to make a positive impact on Sevilla’s performance on and off-the-field.
