On March 20, around 4 p.m., a 9-year-old girl was bitten on the thigh and bottom by an unidentified Shiba Inu dog in the fairytale forest on Krechtinger Straße in Hamminkeln, NRW. The girls were playing when the women and their dogs approached, with the animals running freely before one of them bit the girl.
The incident prompted the girls to run to a nearby friend’s house to report it. However, their parents arrived at the scene with dogs but there was no sign of the women and their dogs. Despite initial investigations, the police have not made any progress in locating them. They are now seeking witnesses or any information that could help identify the dogs and their owners.
The Shiba Inu breed is known for its unique appearance and friendly personality, making it a popular choice among pet owners. However, like all dogs, they can be unpredictable and dangerous if not properly trained and supervised. The police urge anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 0281/107-0 so that they can bring closure to this unfortunate event.
