The Bend Park and Recreation District is excited to offer a variety of youth fall sports programs for the upcoming season. These programs include youth soccer, kindergarten soccer, flag football, and middle school tennis. Parents and guardians are encouraged to sign up their children now to secure their spot for the upcoming fall season.
Registration deadlines for the fall youth sport programs are as follows: Youth soccer (Grades 1st-8th, 2024-25 school year) by July 8th or until full, Kindergarten soccer (2024-25 school year) by July 8th or until full, Flag football (Grades 1st-8th, 2024-25 school year) by July 29th or until full, and Middle school tennis (2024-25 school year) by August 13th or until full. These programs focus on participation and skill-building in a fun, recreational environment, and recreation scholarships are available for those in need.
In addition to the youth sports programs, there are opportunities for adults to volunteer as coaches. Volunteer coaches play a crucial role in providing support with program logistics, coaching, and mentoring youth. All volunteer coaches must complete an application, background check, take a concussion training course, enjoy working with youth, and be able to create a positive and encouraging recreational environment for all players.
