Signature Entertainment has recently acquired the U.K. and Irish rights to the upcoming action sci-fi movie World-Breaker, starring Luke Evans, Milla Jovovich, and Billie Boullet. The film is directed by Brad Anderson from a script by Joshua Rollins and produced by Bradley Gallo, Michael A. Helfant, Martin Brennan, and Jib Polhemus.
The deal for the film was negotiated between Signature Entertainment CEO Marc Goldberg and acquisitions manager Katie Wilkinson with The Exchange’s president of worldwide sales and distribution Nat McCormick. The release of World-Breaker is planned for next year. According to Wilkinson, the film is an action-packed high-quality independent film that rivals big-budget studio productions due to its appealing cast, thrilling script, and talented filmmakers.
The story follows a father and daughter as they escape a burning city and fight for survival against vicious creatures from another dimension. Evans plays the father, Jovovich plays the mother, and Boullett plays the daughter. The Exchange is handling the international and domestic rights for World-Breaker and is presenting the film at the Cannes Film Market.
Signature Entertainment has previously released films like The Canterville Ghost, You Hurt My Feelings, Femme, and The End We Start From since its founding in 2011.
