Slovakia’s Ivan Schranz Ties German Star as Top Euro 2024 Scorer, Leaving Ukraine Struggling to Keep Up

Schranz makes history in Slovakia and extends unwanted streak in Ukraine

Slovakia’s striker, Ivan Schranz, made history in the first half of their EURO 2024 match against Ukraine by scoring a goal after another defensive mishap from Ukraine. This was the second goal for Schranz and he is now tied as the top scorer with Germany’s Jamal Musiala. On the other hand, Ukraine struggled to keep clean sheets in the competition and this goal continued their unwanted record.

The goal was scored when Oleksandr Zinchenko, who was caught out of position at the back post, allowed Schranz to score with a header past Anatoliy Trubin. This marked a significant blow for Ukraine as they trailed Slovakia and were struggling to keep up with them.

However, Ukraine is determined to make a comeback and keep their hopes alive in the competition. With one game left to play, they must fight back and show their true potential on the field. The outcome of this match will determine which team will secure a spot in the round of 16 with a game to spare and which team will be eliminated from the competition.
