Small Commercial Fire Extinguished by Idaho Falls Fire Department

Firefighters respond to early morning fire at Idaho Falls business

On Tuesday morning, the Idaho Falls Fire Department was called to a structure fire on the 500 block of 2nd Street. The owner of a nearby business noticed smoke building up on their security cameras and immediately called 911. When firefighters arrived, they found flames visible through the windows of the commercial structure. They quickly extinguished the small fire inside and stayed on the scene to ventilate the building of smoke.

The Idaho Falls Fire Department responded with three engines, a ladder truck, two ambulances, and a battalion chief. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Prevention and Investigation Division of the Idaho Falls Fire Department. The estimated cost of damages is less than $10,000.
