Surratt and Legion XIII Shine in LIV Golf Nashville Team Event as Hatton Takes Individual Title

Team event at LIV Golf Nashville won by Caleb Surratt

Caleb Surratt, a former Vol golfer, competed in the LIV Golf Nashville event at The Grove in College Grove, Tennessee. Although he finished tied for 25th place with a score of -5, he was 14 strokes behind the winner, Tyrrell Hatton, who finished at -19.

In addition to being a competitor in the event, Surratt is also a member of Legion XIII, a team that includes Jon Rahm as captain, Hatton and Kieran Vincent. Legion XIII won the team event at LIV Golf Nashville, finishing five strokes ahead of Crushers GC with an impressive score of -40.

The LIV Golf format features 12 teams consisting of four players each and includes 48 players participating in 14 events. Unlike traditional golf tournaments, there are no cuts and shotgun starts are used for each event. Each player’s stroke counts towards their individual event and the winner is determined by the player with the lowest total shot count after 54 holes. In the team event, the top three players’ scores are combined for their team’s round count and the team with the lowest cumulative score over three rounds becomes the team champion.
