The Long Road to Economic Recovery: Insights from NYISO’s Spring Economic Conference

Despite Scars, New York’s Economy Makes a Recovery

Adam Kamins, senior director of Moody’s Analytics at NYISO’s annual Spring Economic Conference, presented the economic forecasts for both New York state and the U.S. While the forecasts were reasonably healthy, Kamins emphasized that there are still challenges that need to be addressed in order for the economy to fully recover.

One of the main takeaways from Kamins’ presentation was that despite progress being made, there are still lingering effects from the economic downturn. These scars will take time to heal, and it will require a continued effort to ensure that the economy can bounce back and thrive once again.

During the conference, stakeholders learned about the economic outlook for New York state and the nation. The economic forecasts presented were positive, but it was clear that there is still work to be done in order to fully recover from the economic impact of the past year. Stakeholders were encouraged to remain vigilant and proactive in their efforts to support and strengthen the economy as it continues to recover.
