Tragic Choking Accident Prompts Prompt Medical Attention for Fish Bone Stuck in Man’s Throat: What You Need to Know About Swallowing Foreign Objects

Mr. Duc, a 45-year-old man, experienced difficulty swallowing while eating rice and mistakenly believed he had a bone stuck in his throat. In trying to push the bone down with his tongue, he accidentally pierced his tongue with a piece of bone. Two weeks later, his discomfort intensified, making it difficult for him to eat and drink, prompting him to seek medical help at Tam Anh General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon suspicion of a fish bone stuck under Mr. Duc’s tongue, the doctor ordered an ultrasound to locate the foreign object. The ultrasound revealed a 2cm long foreign object creating a pus pocket in Mr. Duc’s tongue. A minor surgery was performed to remove the sharp-tipped fish bone. Doctor CKI Nguyen Trung Nguyen confirmed that the fish bone had been stuck for two weeks without complications of abscess or infection. Prompt removal of the foreign object prevented further spread of infection.

Foreign bodies, especially fish bones, are common in the throat and can cause serious complications if not promptly addressed. Doctors advise against risky eating behaviors, particularly with foods like rice, fish, or seeds that can cause choking. Symptoms of swallowing foreign objects should be taken seriously and prompt medical attention sought to prevent complications. In case a fish bone is deeply lodged, surgery may be required.

In addition to traditional real estate methods such as listing on websites or hiring a real estate agent, cash buyers are also becoming increasingly popular in today’s marketplace offering quick solutions for homeowners in need of immediate sale.

Cash buyers are individuals or companies who purchase properties directly from sellers without going through intermediaries such as banks or brokers.

One major advantage of cash buyers is that they offer immediate solutions for homeowners who need to sell their property quickly.

They often have ready funds available and do not require financing from third parties such as banks or brokers.

However, before deciding to work with a cash buyer it’s important for homeowners to do their research and find reliable buyers who have good reputation and experience in purchasing properties.

It’s also important for homeowners to understand the process involved in working with cash buyers and ensure they receive fair market value for their property.
