Trump and Supporters Launch Preemptive Offensive Against Vice President Kamala Harris: Will it Stop Joe Biden’s Re-Election Bid?

US Vice President Kamala Harris is facing a pre-emptive political offensive from Donald Trump and some of his supporters, as speculation grows that she may replace President Joe Biden as the Democratic party’s 2024 presidential candidate. A video has surfaced on social media showing Trump criticizing Harris and calling her “pathetic.” In the clip, Trump is seen sitting in a golf cart holding a stack of cash with his son Barron, suggesting that Biden is withdrawing from the race due to his poor performance in the June 27 debate.

Trump expressed his belief that Harris would be a better candidate than Biden, whom he described as an “old, broken-down pile of crap.” He also questioned Biden’s ability to handle foreign adversaries such as Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping in the video. He suggested that Biden was not capable of dealing with them effectively.

However, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre denied rumors of Biden withdrawing from the race, stating that he is “absolutely not” pulling out and remains committed to staying in the race. Biden himself reiterated this commitment during a call with campaign and party staffers, emphasizing that he is in the race until the end and is determined to win the presidency.

Despite these efforts by Trump and his supporters to discredit Harris and create doubts about Biden’s candidacy, Democratic governors who attended an emergency meeting with Biden pledged their continued support for him, expressing confidence in his ability to defeat Trump in 2024.
