Tulsa World Honors Top High School Athletes with All-World Awards

The Tulsa World is once again recognizing the top high school athletes in the Tulsa area with the All-World Awards. This year, finalists for winter sports will be announced this week, including boys basketball, swimming, and wrestling. Girls basketball finalists will be announced on Saturday, followed by the All-State boys and girls basketball on Sunday.

In addition to the All-World Awards, fans of high school sports can cast their vote for their favorite athlete, mascot, band, cheer squad or dance team in the Fans of the Year contest. Last fall, athlete of the year finalists were announced for football, cross country, volleyball and softball.

The All-World honors cover a variety of sports including boys and girls wrestling, swimming, football and cross country as well as softball and volleyball. Spring sports finalists will be announced in early June along with winners for specialty awards such as best comeback, inspirational and scholar athletes and a lifetime achievement award.

The winners for athletes of the year in each sport will be revealed at the eighth annual All-World Awards banquet presented by Bill Knight Automotive on Thursday June 20th at Cox Business Convention Center’s Legacy Hall. Tickets for the banquet are $75 and can be purchased at allworldawards.com – seating is limited. Check out the finalists announced so far by clicking on the link provided.
