Turkey suffers defeat in EURO 2024 match against Yildiz

On Saturday, 22 June, three more Euro 2024 matches were played. One of our Bianconeri, Kenan Yildiz, was among the players who took the field in a challenging game for Turkey. The match took place in Dortmund, with a strong Turkish presence in the crowd. Despite their best efforts, Vincenzo Montella’s team was defeated 3-0 by one of the tournament favorites.

Kenan did not start the match but was brought on in the 59th minute to try and provide a spark for his team. Although Turkey lost the game, they still have a chance to qualify for the next stage of the tournament. With three points from two matches, they currently sit in second place in Group E behind Portugal. Czechia and Georgia each have a point as well, making the group standings still wide open.

The defeat for Turkey was a disappointing result, but they will need to regroup and refocus for their upcoming matches. Kenan Yildiz, along with his teammates, will be determined to bounce back from this setback and secure their spot in the knockout stages of Euro 2024. With the support of their passionate fans, Turkey will look to put in a strong performance in their remaining group matches.
