Unfortunate Incident: Food Poisoning Affects Over 3,290 Workers in Vinh Phuc Province”.

Over 350 employees experienced poisoning following their lunch break

On May 14th, a food poisoning incident occurred at Shinwon Ebenezer Co., Ltd., where over 3,290 workers were served meals cooked by the company during a company-organized lunch. The first shift of workers ate at 11:30 a.m., and the second shift ate at 12:30 p.m. Symptoms of stomach pain and nausea started to emerge around 2:00 p.m., with more cases emerging as the day progressed. By 5:00 p.m., a total of 351 workers were affected, with some requiring emergency treatment at local hospitals.

The incident prompted an investigation from various agencies, including the Department of Health, Police, Labor, and Industrial Park Management to determine the cause of contamination in the food served to the workers. The Department of Health in Vinh Phuc province collected samples of both the food and water for testing purposes to identify the source of contamination that led to this unfortunate incident that affected Shinwon Ebenezer Co., Ltd.’s employees.
