Unlocking Innovation: The 2024 RTIH Innovation Awards and Slip’s Seed Funding in Sustainable Receipt Technology

In recent months, several articles have been published on Retail Technology Industry Hub (RTIH) retail systems that have caught the attention of readers. These articles covered topics such as Asda, Superdry, TikTok, Currys, Volvic, Frasers Group, Takeoff Technologies and more.

The 2024 RTIH Innovation Awards is now open for entries. Sponsored by CADS, 3D Cloud and Retail Technology Show 2025, the awards highlight innovation in a fast-moving omnichannel world. This year three new categories have been introduced: AI Innovation, Sustainable Retail Innovation and Inclusive Technology Innovation.

Key dates for the 2024 RTIH Innovation Awards include Friday October 25th for the award entry deadline, Tuesday October 29th for the shortlist reveal and Thursday November 21st for the winners announcement at a ceremony to be held at RIBA’s headquarters in Central London.

Recently Slip, a platform that helps retailers digitize receipts has secured £2.5 million in seed funding investment. The round was led by Adjuvo and included participation from Haatch Ventures and Unbundled VC as well as a range of angels including Asos’ Executive Vice President of Customer & Marketing Dan Elton and former CIO at Frasers Group Julian Burnett. Slip’s software has been launched in 2022 and has already been utilized by retailers such as JD Sports and Beyond Retro. The platform’s API can integrate with existing systems providing insights from customer activity directly into partner CRMs or marketing technology stacks through partnerships with providers like Shopify, Klaviyo Epos Now and Sitoo.
