Unlocking Marvin Mims Jr.’s Potential: NFL Analyst Predicts Breakout Season in 2024

CBS Sports identifies WR Marvin Mims Jr. as a breakout candidate in his second year

Marvin Mims Jr. is a standout receiver for the Denver Broncos, and his potential for growth in the upcoming season has been praised by Head Coach Sean Payton. Payton believes that Mims will make significant strides from his rookie year to his second year in the league.

Recently, an article from CBS Sports by Chris Trapasso highlighted Mims as a player poised for a breakout season in 2024. Trapasso pointed out Mims’ impressive stats from his rookie year, including averaging over 17 yards per catch, forcing four missed tackles, and only having one drop out of 22 receptions. He also mentioned Mims’ recognition as a Second-Team All-Pro kick returner for his performance on special teams, where he averaged over 27 yards per return and scored a 99-yard touchdown.

Trapasso described Mims as a fast receiver with reliable hands and great ability to make plays after the catch. With increased playing time expected due to Jerry Jeudy’s departure to the Browns, Mims is set to have more opportunities to shine in the upcoming season.

In his first year with the Broncos, Mims recorded 22 receptions for 377 yards and one touchdown. He also received a Pro Bowl nod for his work as a return specialist. Trapasso predicted that Mims would secure a starting slot position in his second season and anticipated significant contributions from him.

Overall, the future looks promising for Marvin Mims Jr., who has high expectations from both his coach and the media as he prepares for his second year in the NFL.
