The Global Peace Index has released its list of the most peaceful countries for 2024, providing a glimpse into these serene corners of the world.
The ranking considers 23 factors, including political instability, terrorist activity, deaths from conflict, and military expenditure. Iceland holds the top spot for the sixteenth consecutive year with a score of 1.112. The country excels in UN peacekeeping funding, safety and security, and has a low jailed population proportion.
