Knife attacker at European Championship party in Wolmirstedt was not on drugs

In mid-June, a 27-year-old knife attacker caused chaos at a private European Championship party in Wolmirstedt, Saxony-Anhalt. The perpetrator was neither influenced by drugs nor alcohol according to a toxicological report. He got into an argument with a 23-year-old fellow countryman and fatally injured him before proceeding to stab three other people at the party, seriously injuring a 75-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman and slightly injuring a 56-year-old man.

When police officers arrived at the scene, the perpetrator attacked them with the knife and was shot by the officers, resulting in his death. It has been nearly 20 days since the attack, and authorities have confirmed that no substances were found in the perpetrator’s system through chemical toxicological examination for his autopsy. However, there is still no clear motive behind the deadly dispute or why it escalated to such violence. Authorities have ruled out any religious background for this incident.

The police spokeswoman, Jeannine Stage-Breuer stated that “The chemical toxicological examination for the autopsy of the 27-year-old Afghan is available.
