The Atlanta Braves will face the Seattle Mariners in a highly anticipated game at 2:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday, but Xfinity customers won’t be able to watch it on Bally Sports South. This is because Diamond Sports Group, the owner of Bally Sports and its regional sports networks, couldn’t come to an agreement with Comcast, the cable provider that carries Bally Sports South.
Diamond Sports Group expressed disappointment in Comcast’s rejection of a proposed extension that could have kept their channels on the air. Despite offering similar terms as those reached with larger distributors, Comcast refused to engage in meaningful discussions, resulting in the channels being pulled from the lineup. Subscribers were notified of the change via email, citing the expiration of the programming agreement as the reason for the blackout.
Xfinity customers looking to watch the Braves-Mariners game and future Braves games can access Bally Sports South through alternative streaming platforms like FUBO TV, DirectTV, and Direct TV streaming. These platforms will continue to carry Bally Sports South programming, ensuring that fans can still follow their team without missing out on any action.
The Braves will face off against Sale at T-Mobile Park in Seattle in today’s game. Hancock will pitch for the Mariners, and fans who are Xfinity customers may be disappointed by not being able to watch it on their usual channel but they have other options available to them now.
