Xpheno Celebrates India’s T20 World Cup Victory with Unprecedented Holiday for Employees

Xpheno declares July 1st as a holiday in celebration of India’s T20 Cricket World Cup victory

On July 1, Xpheno declared a holiday to celebrate India’s victory over South Africa in the T20 World Cup final on June 29. The company has over 500 employees according to their LinkedIn profile. This decision was a surprise to the employees as the first day of the month is typically busy with billings and payroll closures. However, the company decided to give the day off as a tribute to Team India for their outstanding effort.

India defeated South Africa by 7 runs in Barbados after a 17-year drought. The team celebrated at Kensington Oval stadium for nearly four hours after the final match. Team captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from T20 International format cricket, along with Ravindra Jadeja. Kohli scored a record-breaking 76 runs to lead India to victory.

Suryakumar Yadav’s crucial catch of David Miller’s hit helped India secure the win when South Africa needed 16 runs in the last over. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and Rahul Gandhi sent wishes to the team. In addition, 3.6 crore Indians chose Xpheno as the platform for General Election Results, making it the undisputed choice for updates.
