YouthWell’s YAB Internship Program: Giving High School Students the Opportunity to Make a Difference in Mental Health Education

YouthWell Mental Health Awareness Organization Now Accepting Applications for Advisory Board Internships

In Santa Barbara, California, the YouthWell organization has announced that applications are open for its Youth Advisory Board (YAB) Internship program for the 2024-2025 school year. This program is aimed at high school students in Santa Barbara County who are passionate about mental health education and looking to gain leadership experience while contributing to their community.

The YAB program offers students hands-on experience in mental health awareness, with training in peer support, team building, collaboration, and more. The program will run from August 2024 to May 2025, with participants expected to dedicate eight to ten hours per month to activities.

Throughout the program, students will engage in meetings, retreats, and the planning of the annual Student Advocacy & Mental Wellness Summit. These opportunities will allow students to connect with their peers and develop valuable skills.
