Israel confirms the death of Argentine citizen kidnapped by Hamas

On Tuesday, the Israeli Embassy confirmed the death of an Argentine hostage taken by Hamas. Lior Rudaeff, 61 years old, was murdered on October 7 and his body remains kidnapped in Gaza. With this news, there are still eight other Argentines in the hands of the terrorist group.

According to those close to Rudaeff on social media, he was an ambulance driver and volunteer doctor who went out to join the battle for a kibbutz during the attack by Hamas on Israel. His family was confined to shelters for 48 hours during those days of maximum violence and was eventually rescued. Lior even sent a message to his family saying he was injured and expressing affection to his wife, Yaffa, and his four children. However, they did not hear from him again after that day.

Rudaeff was born in Buenos Aires but moved with his family to Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak when he was 8 years old. He was known to be a passionate cyclist and a fan of the popular Israeli musician Shlomo Artzi. His death has left behind his wife, four children, and grandchildren. The news of his murder has been heartbreaking for those who knew him.
