Exciting Additions to Lubbock Business Scene: New April Shops, Dawna Gillespie, and More

The A-J readers were in for a treat this week as two new businesses opened their doors and two articles were published from the business beat. On Wednesday, Cyrus Kabob at 421 Frankford Ave. opened its doors, offering the family’s Persian recipes at their new restaurant. That same day, Hairbreak Hotel at 2614 130th St., Unit 3., debuted their Elvis Presley themed hair salon and introduced their exclusive line of beard oil.

On Thursday, Lil Homiez Barbershop and Salon opened at 5302 Ave. Q, Suite 17. Meanwhile, two articles were published from the business beat on Wednesday. One featured Dawna Gillespie of Dawna Gillespie Adornments, an internationally recognized designer who found her passion for metalsmithing at Texas Tech. Gillespie’s work aims to represent the human life, from soul to soul, through unique and individual pieces.

Looking ahead to next week, no concrete plans have been made yet, leaving room to explore some rumored places that may be worth a visit. As always, thank you for your continued support of the A-J!
