ACB Founder Dies

On April 25, 2024, Mr. Tran Mong Hung, a legendary banker and founder of ACB Bank, passed away at the age of 72. His legacy continues to live on at ACB, where his vision and commitment to excellence have positioned the bank as a leader in the banking industry in Vietnam.

Mr. Tran Mong Hung was one of the founders of ACB and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors from 1994 to 2008. His son, Tran Hung Huy, took over as Chairman in 2012. After retiring from the Board of Directors in 2018, Mr. Tran Mong Hung held the position of Deputy Head of the Bank’s Risk Management Committee until 2023. His wife, Ms. Dang Thu Thuy, has also been a key figure at ACB, serving on the Board of Directors since 2011.

Known for his visionary leadership and commitment to transparency, Mr. Tran Mong Hung led ACB through challenging times with a focus on management, corporate culture, and human development. His emphasis on people as the most important asset shaped ACB’s approach to human resources management, producing a team of talented and loyal employees.
