Alleged Sexual Abuse at the Museum of Science and Industry: A Timely Warning for Parents and Visitors

Man wanted by authorities for reportedly following 10-year-old girl into museum bathroom

A 10-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago by a man who followed her into a bathroom stall on the museum’s second floor. The man, who is described as being in his 30s with light skin, curly light brown hair, a beard, and a neck tattoo of a roaring lion, offered to help the girl when she became separated from her group. However, after entering the stall, the man began to abuse the girl. The girl was able to kick him and he fled the scene.

The police are actively seeking this suspect and urge anyone with information to contact detectives at 312-492-3810. The man is believed to be between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-3, weighing around 170 pounds with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue shirt, a blue vest, blue jeans, and black gym shoes.

The museum has stated that they will take all necessary steps to ensure that their staff and visitors are safe from any form of abuse or harassment. They have also urged anyone who has witnessed any such incidents to come forward and report them immediately so that appropriate action can be taken.
