Alleged Sexual Abuser Sought by Chicago Police after Attacking 10-Year-Old Girl at the Museum of Science and Industry

Seeking a Suspect in Child Sex Abuse at Museum of Science and Industry – NBC Chicago

A suspect is being sought by the Chicago police after sexually abusing a young girl at the Museum of Science and Industry. The crime took place on Thursday when a 10-year-old girl got separated from her group while visiting the museum located at 5700 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

As she wandered around the museum, the girl was approached by a man who offered to help her find her group. The man led her to the museum’s second floor and when she asked to use the restroom, he followed her inside.

While in the restroom, the suspect entered the room and crawled under the stall door, touching the child inappropriately. The girl managed to kick towards him, causing him to flee from the restroom.

The suspect is described as being between 30 to 40 years old, weighing between 160 to 180 pounds, and standing between 5 feet 10 inches tall to 6 feet 3 inches tall. He has curly light brown hair, a beard, and a tattoo of a roaring lion on his neck.

Chicago police have issued a community alert and are asking anyone with information about the suspect or any incidents involving sexual abuse at the museum to contact their Bureau of Detectives Special Investigations Unit at (312)492-3810.
