Apple developing a stylus compatible with Vision Pro viewer: Writing in the air or on the wall?

Apple is currently developing a stylus that will work with its mixed reality (MR) device, the Vision Pro viewer. The stylus, known as the Apple Pencil, will be compatible with the visionOS operating system on which the Vision Pro is based and has already undergone internal testing.

The Vision Pro is a cutting-edge device that features spatial computing technology and a three-dimensional user interface. It allows users to interact with applications through hands, voice, and eyes, and aims to revolutionize how people work, collaborate, connect, relive memories, and enjoy entertainment. The company claims it is the most advanced consumer electronics device ever created.

To enhance the functionality of the Vision Pro, Apple has developed a new stylus that will work with drawing applications in the device such as Freeform and Pixelmator. According to a source familiar with the company, this new stylus has been tested internally and will require updated software for it to work properly.

It is expected that Apple will announce the second iteration of its visionOS operating system at its developer conference (WWDC) in June as part of its efforts to continue innovating and expanding the capabilities of its products.
