Arizona Department of Health Services Maintains National Accreditation Status: A Testament to Exceptional Standards in Public Health

Arizona’s Health Services Department Successfully Retains National Accreditation

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) has successfully maintained its national accreditation status through the Public Health Accreditation Board. This accreditation is a result of ADHS being evaluated against a comprehensive set of national standards, ensuring that the department continues to evolve, improve, and advance public health practices in the communities it serves.

As a journalist, I was impressed with ADHS’s commitment to maintaining this high standard for public health in Arizona. According to Jennie Cunico, Executive Deputy Director at ADHS, this reaccreditation is a testament to their dedication to exceptional standards throughout the state. “We are honored to continue holding this status alongside health departments in Maricopa, Mohave, Pima, and Yavapai counties as well as the Pascua Yaqui Health Services Division,” she stated.

This accreditation is significant because it allows ADHS to ensure that they are meeting the highest standards in public health and providing quality services to the communities they serve. With over 400 nationally accredited health departments across the country, ADHS has held this status since 2017 and continues to strive for excellence in their work.

In conclusion, ADHS’s reaccreditation by the Public Health Accreditation Board is a commendable achievement that demonstrates their commitment to delivering exceptional public health services in Arizona. As a journalist, I applaud their efforts towards maintaining high standards and providing quality services for all communities across the state.
