Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan discussed the security challenges in the South Caucasus region during a presentation at NATO headquarters in Brussels. The talk touched on the normalization of relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey, a member of the alliance.
Kostanyan emphasized the significance of Armenia’s accession to NATO’s “Partnership for Peace” program around thirty years ago, which laid the groundwork for further cooperation between Armenia and NATO. He expressed Armenia’s willingness to enhance its cooperation with NATO and its member states to improve its defense and security capabilities.
The meeting also focused on international security issues that are of mutual interest, highlighting the importance of collaboration in addressing common challenges. Kostanyan reiterated Armenia’s commitment to strengthening its ties with NATO and its member states in pursuit of shared goals.
