Armenia’s Foreign Minister Heads to Hungary to Strengthen Bilateral Relations, Addressing Contentious Issues.

Ararat Mirzoyan’s official visit to Hungary scheduled for May 6

Hungary is set to host Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan on May 6th. The visit comes at a crucial time for both countries as they work towards strengthening their bilateral relations and addressing important issues.

During his visit, Minister Mirzoyan will meet with top Hungarian officials, including Foreign Minister Peter Szijártó. Following the meetings, the ministers will hold a joint press conference to discuss their discussions and any outcomes.

According to recent reports, Hungary has been blocking a project aimed at providing assistance to Armenia from the European Union Peace Fund. This issue may be addressed during the meetings between Minister Mirzoyan and his Hungarian counterparts.

Armenia and Hungary announced plans to restore diplomatic relations in 2022, indicating a growing interest in expanding cooperation between the two countries. The visit by Minister Mirzoyan is seen as an opportunity to further strengthen ties and foster dialogue on shared priorities.
