The Austin Area High School Sports Awards is a nine-month student-athlete recognition program that celebrates athletes, coaches, and teams from the Austin region who compete in sanctioned Texas High School sports. The event is part of a series of 20 regional shows across the United States, culminating in a red-carpet show this spring.
The nominees for Boys and Girls Swimming & Diving Athletes of the Year are being announced by Thomas J. Henry Law along with The Austin American-Statesman. The winners will be honored during a live show on June 12 at Dell Hall in Austin. In addition to these awards, Coach of the Year, Team of the Year, and Courage Award will also be presented to recognize outstanding on- and off-the-field achievements.
