Austrian Lawyer Astrid Wagner: Controversial figure, Advocate for Women’s Freedom”.

Fritzl’s lawyer battles against prudery over topless photos uproar

In recent years, Austrian lawyer Astrid Wagner has become a controversial figure, particularly for her revealing photos taken on social media. Wagner, who represents high-profile clients such as the “goulash murderer” Alfred Ulrich and the “Ice Lady” killer Goidsargi Estibaliz Carranza Zabala, has been criticized for her nudity in these photos.

Despite facing criticism and being reported to the bar association for previous revealing photos, Wagner maintains that she has no ulterior motives for sharing her nudity. She sees herself as a freedom fighter and has been involved in controversial cases throughout her career. Wagner had a brief romance with female serial killer Jack Unterweger in the 90s and has been visiting Josef Fritzl in prison regularly, with the goal of getting him released from prison as she believes he is no longer dangerous.

Wagner attributes her comfort with nudity to her upbringing in the spirit of the 1968 generation, where going topless at an outdoor pool was considered normal. She expresses concern over the societal shift towards prudishness and the expectation for women to hide their bodies more. Wagner sees her topless photos as a political statement advocating for women’s freedom.

Wagner’s unwavering support for Fritzl and her stance against the curtailment of women’s freedom have cemented her reputation as a fearless advocate for justice. Her book with Fritzl, titled “The Abyss of Josef F.”, shares his perspective and interviews conducted in prison. Despite facing controversy and criticism, Wagner continues to fight for what she believes is right and remains committed to justice.
