Azerbaijan’s Ilham Aliyev Warns of External Forces Threatening Turkish-Azerbaijani Unity

Aliyev asserts that the meeting in Brussels is aimed against us.

During a meeting with former Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Baku, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed his concerns over recent events and the impact they may have on the region. Despite reassurances from high-ranking officials in the USA and the European Union, Aliyev believes that the recent meeting was aimed at isolating Azerbaijan and disrupting cooperation in the South Caucasus.

Aliyev emphasized the importance of a strong Turkish-Azerbaijani unity in the face of changing geopolitical circumstances, expressing his confidence that attempts to break this unity will be unsuccessful. The President’s remarks underscored the perceived threats to Azerbaijan posed by external forces, highlighting the need for solidarity and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

The words of the Azerbaijani President serve as a reminder of the ongoing challenges facing the region and the importance of maintaining strong bilateral relationships in the face of external pressures. As tensions continue to simmer in the South Caucasus, Aliyev’s meeting with Cavusoglu signals a commitment to cooperation and unity in the face of external challenges. The need for vigilance and strategic partnerships to navigate the complex geopolitical landscape of the region is more important than ever.
