The Beacon Academy Science Olympiad team had a great weekend at the Illinois State competition at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The event featured 25 high school teams in Division A from across the state, competing in a series of events that spanned various disciplines.
The Beacon Academy Trailblazers shone in individual and team events, earning placements ranging from first to fifth in Codebusters, Fermi Questions, Forensics, Geological Mapping, Microbe Mission, Robot Tour, Tower, and Wind Power. The team’s excellent performance earned them fifth place in Division A overall.
Throughout the season, the Beacon Academy team displayed a positive attitude and excellent teamwork. They were able to apply their scientific knowledge effectively in high-pressure situations. Congratulations to the team on a fantastic Science Olympiad season!
