Recently, a 32-year-old man who is married with children but occasionally engages in sexual activity with other men contracted gonorrhea after sleeping with a man he met through social networks. The man was diagnosed with gonorrhea by Dr. BS.CK2 Tra Anh Duy at the Men’s Health Center for Men’s Health. The patient, who is bisexual, experienced pus discharge from the tip of his penis.

Gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted disease that can cause various complications if left untreated. Symptoms in men include painful urination, burning pain in the urethra, pus discharge, fever, and swollen testicles. Women with gonorrhea may experience pus and swelling in the urethra, painful urination, and vaginal itching. If not treated promptly, gonorrhea can lead to infertility, pelvic inflammatory disease, and other serious conditions. Pregnant women with gonorrhea risk passing the infection to their babies during labor, putting them at risk of complications.
