The Delta Emulator Brings Nintendo DS Games to iPad

This month, the Delta emulator was released on the App Store for iPhone and quickly rose to the top of the free app rankings in the United States. In Europe, it can be downloaded from the external store AltStore PAL. The emulator allows users to play Nintendo DS games in ROM version, although downloading games illegally can put users at risk of breaking the law.

The developer, Riley Testut, announced that an iPad-specific version is almost complete and will launch with Delta version 1.6. Supporters of Testut on Patreon can access the app through the regular AltStore. While the current iOS version of the emulator works on the iPad, a native version is in development to optimize the user experience for the larger screen size. This includes improved user interface, more elaborate skins, and support for iPad’s Split View feature for multitasking.

Testut plans to introduce multiplayer functionality between different devices after the release of the native iPadOS version. Multiplayer is currently possible on a single device, but Testut aims to expand this feature for a better gaming experience.
