Hanover business suffers fire damage in morning blaze  | News, Sports, Jobs

On Saturday morning, fire crews from multiple agencies responded to a blaze on Routes 5 and 20 east of Silver Creek. The fire was contained to the back of the NAPA Auto Parts shop at 1195 Routes 5 and 20 in Hanover and was reported around 9:30am. Damage could be seen on the exterior of the structure.

The agencies present at the scene included Dunkirk, Sunset Bay, Silver Creek, Forestville, Chautauqua County Emergency Services, Hanover Center, and local law enforcement. They worked together to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to other nearby businesses.

It is not yet clear what caused the fire, but investigators are working to determine the cause. Thankfully, there were no reports of injuries or damage to nearby properties.
