The City of Kyle, Texas has set its sights on breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest same-name gathering with an official event called the “Gathering of the Kyles.” This year, the city hopes to attract even more people named Kyle to the event, which will take place at 1 p.m. on May 18 as part of the Kyle Fair.
The record attempt is inspired by a previous successful effort in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where 2,325 people named Ivan gathered for an official record attempt in July 2017. The City of Austin also made an attempt at the record recently with the “Ryan Rodeo,” but unfortunately fell short of breaking the record.
The City of Kyle is determined to bring the record home and is encouraging all Kyles out there to participate in the event. The official Gathering of the Kyles promises to be a fun and exciting gathering that celebrates those who share the name Kyle. It will be a great opportunity for people named Kyle to come together and possibly make history by breaking a world record.
