Bristol Denies Netland withdrawal Rumors: Committed to Reversing Financial Challenges and Continuing to Deliver Quality Products in the Netherlands.

Bristol shoe chain from Belgium refutes claims of leaving the Netherlands

Belgian family business Bristol has refuted claims that it is planning to withdraw from the Netherlands. Despite reports in Dutch newspaper The Telegraph, Bristol is committed to maintaining its presence in the country.

In recent years, the chain has faced financial challenges and recorded a net loss of half a million euros in November 2023. However, it saw its first operational profit since 2016 in 2022. Despite these challenges, CEO Elise Vanaudenhove emphasized that the company is working on a turnaround in the Netherlands and remains dedicated to providing value for customers.

Bristol still experienced staff shortages and declining sales figures, leading some stores to adjust their opening hours or close temporarily. The company acknowledged these specific challenges and is actively working on solutions to improve its performance. Despite this, Bristol aims to continue offering quality products and services both in-store and online.
