The Broward Health Foundation recently held the 11th Annual Broward Health Ball at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. Shane Strum, the president and CEO of Broward Health, stated that the main focus of the event was to raise money and awareness for healthcare in Broward County. Hosted by 7News entertainment reporter Alex Miranda, over 1,100 attendees from South Florida were in attendance.

The funds raised at the event, projected to be over $1 million, will specifically go towards Broward Health’s new emergency department in Fort Lauderdale.
