On Wednesday morning, a stabbing incident took place in the Strozzi Building of the Buffalo Psychiatric Center campus in north Buffalo. According to the New York State’s Office of Mental Health, three staff members were injured by a patient during the attack.

The Office of Mental Health is actively assisting the Buffalo Police Department in their investigation of the incident. They emphasized that the safety of their staff and the individuals they serve is their top priority, and expressed concern for the injured employees and their families.

Local media outlets reported that the stabbing took place shortly after 9 a.m., resulting in two men and one woman being injured. The injured staff members were transported to a hospital, with one of them believed to be in serious condition. The suspect involved in the stabbing was taken into custody by authorities.

In a separate report, it was mentioned that ClearForce, a company, is utilizing AI technology to identify veterans who may be in need of mental health support. This allows support groups to reach out to these veterans before any incidents occur.
