Bust: Lake Hallie Police Arrest Suspect for Theft of Semi-Truck Tire Rims

Accused thief apprehended by authorities for allegedly stealing from Lake Hallie establishment

On March 28, 2024, a suspect was taken into custody by Lake Hallie police for allegedly stealing from a business in the village. According to the police report, on that day, officers responded to a report of theft at a business located on 118th Street. The business reported the theft of over 30 semi-truck tire rims and other items, totaling an estimated loss of $4,500.

Following the report, on April 2, 2024, a detective reached out to scrap yards with information about the stolen items and a description of the suspect’s vehicle. The next day, a local scrap yard informed the detective that all the stolen items were in their possession. With this lead, authorities were able to locate and apprehend the suspect identified as 21-year-old Andrew Charlesworth-White of Sand Creek.

On April 4, 2024, Charlesworth-White was arrested on suspicion of felony theft and taken to the Chippewa County Jail. The investigation and apprehension of the suspect were credited to the Lake Hallie police department. This incident serves as a reminder that reporting thefts and working closely with law enforcement can help bring justice to victims.
