ByteDance Suspends Rewards System in TikTok Lite Amid EU Investigation into Addictive Behaviors

In response to the investigation, ByteDance has decided to voluntarily suspend the reward functions of TikTok Lite. The company stated in a brief statement shared on X social network, “We are voluntarily suspending the rewards features on TikTok Lite while we address the concerns that have been raised.”

ByteDance emphasizes its commitment to collaborating constructively with authorities and ensuring compliance with regulations regarding transparency and protection of minors.
