California Quarterback Husan Longstreet Chooses Texas A&M Over Five Other Top Programs in Unique Recruiting Haul

Aggies Secure Commitment from Husan Longstreet, No. 5-ranked QB in 2025 Class

Texas A&M has landed a highly-touted quarterback from California with the commitment of four-star prospect Husan Longstreet. He announced his decision during a ceremony broadcast on 247Sports’ YouTube channel, choosing the Aggies over fellow finalists Auburn, Louisville, Ole Miss, and Oregon.

Longstreet, who is from Centennial High School in Corona, ranks as the No. 28 player nationally and the No. 5 quarterback in the 2025 recruiting class. He visited Texas A&M for one of its junior day events in February, which gave him a chance to spend time around first-year Aggies coach Mike Elko and his staff. Longstreet is now the sixth prospect to join Texas A&M’s 2025 haul and is a cornerstone piece for Elko as he navigates through his first full recruiting cycle with the Aggies.

Biggins described Longstreet as having one of the strongest arms in the West, a quick release, and the ability to generate a ton of velocity with little effort. He also noted Longstreet’s improving athleticism and leadership qualities. It’s impressive that Elko was able to land such an exceptional talent from outside of Texas A&M’s regional footprint despite primarily signing in-state quarterbacks in recent years.

Longstreet excelled at Inglewood High School before transferring to Centennial High School where he continued to showcase his abilities both as a passer and runner. This addition will help Texas A&M continue their success on the field while also expanding their recruiting reach beyond their state boundaries.
