U.S. News and World Report has released its 2024 “Best High Schools” rankings, recognizing several San Diego-area schools as among the best in the state. Canyon Crest Academy, a school within the San Dieguito Union High School District, topped the local rankings, coming in at No. 15 in California and No. 140 nationwide. Close behind were The Preuss School UCSD and Del Norte High School, which placed at No. 2 and No. 3 in the county respectively.
According to the rankings, the top 10 public high schools in San Diego are as follows: Canyon Crest Academy, Del Norte High School, Westview High School, Sage Creek High School, La Jolla High School, Mt. Everest Academy, River Valley Charter, Scripps Ranch High School
