Cardinals Sign Four More Draftees, Leaving Eight Unsigned in 2023 Draft Class

Cardinals ink deals with four draft picks, still negotiating with remaining eight

The Cardinals have signed four of their draftees to contracts, including fifth-round linebacker Xavier Thomas, fifth-round offensive tackle Christian Jones, sixth-round receiver Tejhaun Palmer, and seventh-round cornerback Jaden Davis. With these signings, there are now eight draftees left unsigned.

Xavier Thomas is the No. 3 prospect in the 2018 class and had an impressive freshman year at Clemson where he finished as an All-American. In 2023, he recorded 25 tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks. Christian Jones is a versatile swing tackle who was the second offensive lineman drafted by the Cardinals.

Tejhaun Palmer is the second wide receiver drafted and is now part of a revamped receiving group which includes Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, and veteran Chris Moore. Jaden Davis is a cornerback who has experience playing outside, in the slot, and at safety and had a productive season with 42 tackles, four pass deflections, and two forced fumbles.
