The Office for Science and Society (OSS) is a program that has been dedicated to providing accessible science education to people from all walks of life since its inception in 1998. Over the past quarter-century, it has accomplished many great things – from developing innovative educational programs to conducting cutting-edge research in fields like climate change and public health.

One of its most notable achievements is its “Molecular Expressions” program, which uses art to make science more accessible and engaging for students. Another successful initiative is its “Science Matters” podcast series, which covers topics like climate change, artificial intelligence and space exploration.

Despite its successes over the years, there have also been challenges faced by the OSS – from funding cuts to finding ways to communicate complex scientific concepts to non-scientists.
