Stunning animal photography showcased at World Nature Photography Awards

The 2024 World Nature Photography Awards have just announced its winners, featuring stunning images of the natural world that celebrate the beauty and wonder of our planet. Photographers from around the globe submitted thousands of photos for consideration, with winners chosen in categories like People and Nature, Plants and Fungi, and Animal Portraits.

One of the standout images was captured by Tracey Lund in the Shetland Islands. Her photo of two gannets fighting over a fish earned her the grand prize in the contest. Lund received a $1,000 cash prize and the title of World Nature Photographer of the Year.

In addition to promoting sustainability and raising awareness about climate change, the World Nature Photography Awards team plants a tree for every photo submission received. They also plant a tree for every print sold of a winning photo. This year’s winner, Tracy Lund, received these rewards as well as recognition for her exceptional talent as a nature photographer.
