Celebrating Women’s Achievements and Advancing Education: Ohio Valley Business and Professional Women’s Club’s Wine and Shoe Extravaganza

Miller honored as Ohio Valley’s Woman of the Year in Business and Professionalism

The Ohio Valley Business and Professional Women’s Club held their annual Wine and Shoe Extravaganza at St. Florian Hall in Wintersville, with the event serving as a fundraiser for local scholarships. This year, three scholarships were awarded to assist students with the cost of education, available to Ohio Valley seniors pursuing education at a college or trade school, as well as women returning to school after entering the workforce.

According to OVBPW member Amelia Taggart, the scholarships are meant to support individuals who are looking to further their education or enter a new field. Attendees of the event had the opportunity to vote on their favorite shoes, celebrity servers, and woman of the year. This year, Judge Michelle Miller was recognized as the 2024 Ohio Valley Business and Professional Woman of the Year.

Judge Miller expressed her gratitude for the nomination and recognition by a women’s organization, stating that it was an honor to be considered among such successful women. The event was a celebration of women’s achievements and a way to support education in the Ohio Valley community.
